About Adventist Athletes

Our Mission

To empower Seventh-day Adventist athletes to participate and excel in their sports without compromising their faith.

Why We Exist

Often, many Adventist Athletes have felt, over time, they had to choose between their competitive dreams and their religious beliefs-particularly the seventh day Sabbath. Adventist Athletes is dedicated to creating and reporting on events that do not compromise SDA beliefs by:

Creating opportunities for athletes to compete at elite levels while staying true to principles.

Building Relationships with Adventist Athletes nationally and internationally through athletic events and inspiring athletes’ stories that possibly can encourage all readers regardless of their faith.

Who We Serve

Our foundation is in the Seventh-day Adventist faith; however, our community is open to everyone.

Values

Character: Using athletics to build discipline, sportsmanship, and learning from mistakes and success.

Health/Wellness: Emphasizing balanced diet, hydration and rest not only in athletics but also in future careers.

Mentoring: Equipping Athletes with spiritual, physical and mental tools they can add to their athletic bag of skills

Health/Wellness

Personal Health is cared for through holistic physical, mental, and spiritual wellness. Core values are reflected in the acronym NEWSTART (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest, Trust in God).
